I think the Rev controller is very interesting. The console itself has a lot of appeal to me as a secondary console because of the unique controller and the lower price point.

Spending another $400+ for a PS3 that will be nearly identical to the 360 in terms of its capabilities doesn't make sense to me.

You have to give credit to Nintendo for taking the risk to innovate and think outside the norm. For anyone to pass judgement on the system and its controller before its even released is silly and just screams of fanboyism.

I think its wonderful that my tax dollars are being spent so convicts can play video games.

The idea of a GTA series is cool.
The idea of it being made by Spike is not.
I'd love to see HBO produce it.

Despite some games having easy Achievements, getting a high Gamerscore (I'm talking 8000+), requires a lot of time spent with your console, regardless of how "easy" the points are to get.

ANOTHER drive issue from Microsoft?? You have got to be kidding me.

My original XBox broke and was rendered unusable because of the "Thompson" drive..or something like that,, I don't even remember.

The obscene level of noise was the first thing I noticed when I fired up my 360.

Hasn't MS claimed that there have been no changes to the 360 manufacturing process? Wasn't that their way of countering the claims that first-production consoles were more prone to overheating? This makes me so mad.

XBudd -- how did you get the drive replaced? was it b/c the console broke? or were u somehow able to get them to change it??

Everyone should remember the partnership MS signed with DirecTV.

Supposedly there will be a new "DirecTV blade" added to the dashboard, allowing the 360 to function as a DVR, which I think would be sweet.


Newer consoles shipping with a larger storage capacity makes perfect sense to me.

Microsoft's head start in the development area is going to make it a winner.

By the time PS3 releases developers will be cranking out games left and right that utilize the FULL cababilities of the 360.

As much as the console shortages may have hurt MS short-term, the headstart in game creation and allowing developers to become familiar with the system and how to best push its limits, therefore making better games, will allow MS to succeed in the long run.

Um, advertising they won a "Spike TV Game Award" is for people who don't follow the industry and read gaming blogs.

Its more recognizable to a casual gamer and that "WINNER" advert might sway someone into a purchase.

Really, what did you expect? A sticker advertising they got a great score from Joystiq.com?

Almost everone posting forgets that 90% of people that play video games do not follow the day-to-day news of the industry.

How could you NOT know that its been rumored that a Taiwanese factory started prepping to make the logos that go on the PS3?????

#38. You really need to get your facts straight.

They're two totallty different games. 360 version is played in third person (or first person minus the shown gun), has 3 squad mates, a cover system, and the ability to go prone. Xbox AND the PC version is only first person with a visible gun, has one squad mate, and a different campaign.

You want links? Read any review from ANY gaming site on each version for XBox PC version compared to the 360. The differences are painfully obvious to anyone with decent reading comprehension.
