Joyswag: Castlevania: Harmony of Despair

Aug 4th 2010 5:04PM (Joystiq)
Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow, I've heard Symphony of the Night is better but you always remember your first.

Halo: Reach Achievements partially revealed

Jul 11th 2010 4:22PM (Joystiq)
My guesses are the first 4 are beating the game on Normal, Hard, Legendary, and Legendary Solo. The locks are for unlocking armor mods one for any unlock and the other is "Make It Rain." The two insignia next to them are multiplayer ranks to be reached. The 5k so on ones are firefight point counts and the roman numerals are campaign levels.

I've got nothin on the rest, ideas?

Halo: Reach returns to Blood Gulch in new video

@MisterSquared What're they talking about?

Interview: Scott Pilgrim production manager Marc-Andre Boivin

@KeegdnaB Definitely Retro Beat em up. I love Michael Cera when he's playing awkward young men (he's got that down) but I don't know if he's cut out to play Scott Pilgrim. The game on the other hand is pure awesome. I would buy it for the Anamanaguchi soundtrack alone, and they're including a game!?

@(Unverified) That was the flash game Meatboy. Super Meat Boy is an expanded version of the game available on XBLA, Wiiware, and PC.

Does anyone else see the irony of that particular commercial? I mean that bus has Grand Theft Auto written all over it.

Star Wars The Old Republic dev diary: Returning to Taris

MMO means that you are in a large world with a population cap in the hundreds and that the game is not divided into rooms and lobbies with a limited number of members.

MAG is a large multiplayer shooter, but you'll still get kicked back to the main menu when the round is over. MMOs have persistent worlds.

Indie games bundled on the cheap for V-Day

Feb 14th 2010 5:58PM (Joystiq)
No DRM on any of them except Auditorium which is browser based. These are indie games put out by people who know they're at your mercy not Activision who thinks that you're worthless customer number 5 million.

Rumor: New Left 4 Dead 2 CG trailer leaked, epic

Oct 23rd 2009 1:57AM (Joystiq)
I found Left 4 Dead's minimalist story perfect. They knew gamers were going to be playing the same levels over and over again and didn't want to sit through or even skip cutscenes and scripted events. Plus it made the game make more sense. In a zombie apocalypse the probability of survivors knowing whats going on are really low.

There are zombies and they want to kill you. Thats all the game needed and thats all the game had.

Hands-on: The Saboteur

Oct 1st 2009 2:42PM (Joystiq)
This isn't Metal of Honor it isn't some hackneyed clone of a game you've played a million times before. Plus I can't think of any games that explore Paris in any depth so the setting isn't even recycled.

New Setting, New Gameplay, New Art Style. What exactly bothers you about this so much?
