Lost Planet demo hitting the US PSN Store today
Feb 7th 2008 8:33PM (Joystiq Playstation)Analysts debate the effect of the Madden PS3 fps debacle
Aug 19th 2007 11:14AM (Joystiq Playstation)The only thing that comforted me was that there was no 360 to play with, so comparisons couldn't be made. However, there was a Wii and the Wii version of Madden definitely looks better than the PS2 version running on the PS3.

Apr 23rd 2007 11:02PM (Joystiq Playstation)1. If you can indeed create multiple accounts on 360, just like PSN, then Microsoft definitely will count those twice as well (why not inflate the statistics for your benefit?)
2. Seeing that most multiple account PS3s do so to take advantage of the different regions, isn't each one a unique one anyways? That's why I have two - so I can download from Japan.

Apr 14th 2007 12:51PM (Joystiq Playstation)And scott, Sony did not neglect their network service. Obviously, they have been working on HOME for a long time and it will become the new PSN. They probably wanted to have it ready for launch but it got delayed (as all software does) so they released something to take its place in the meantime. So say whatever you want, Microsoft definitely had the jump on Sony but you can't say that Sony totally neglected their network at this point.

Mar 6th 2007 7:07PM (Joystiq Playstation)As for what will rule in the years to come, I seriously doubt the 360 will have a price drop come Christmas. If the PS3 isn't going to drop, why would you? Why give up the money if you can still be cheaper than your competitor? Doesn't make much business sense to me.
With that in mind, the PS3 has a lot more to offer than the 360, hardware glitches or not. The network is free, the downloads are good, they're a freaking movie studio and music publisher - how good does it get? As for games, the ports won't feature either system and right now only benefits the 360 because their initial library is larger. However, the fact that motion sensing is on both the PS3 and the Wii makes it more likely games will be ported between those two and leave the 360 in the cold.
Also, the Wii among casual gamers will die out. It's going to happen as they get bored and the party tricks get boring. How many good single player games are there? Zelda and....Zelda. I don't see it maintaining it's lead over the long run, especially as prices for the other consoles drop.
