Generally speaking, Matt has been very enthusiastic about Nintendo games and very critical of Nintendo's business decisions. I think that is exactly where Nintendo's fans are.

Matt has sort of been the tip of the spear in skewering Nintendo over bad marketing (remember IGN's "Where is the Metroid advertising" editorial?) and short-sited decision making. If there is any place where is conflict would have shown up, it's on Nintendo's PR. But his critiques have been more pointed and articulate than any other site I read (including of course Joystiq).

Matt, I know you're reading these comments, so I'll say to you; keep up the good work. If anything, err on the side of being more critical of the big N, but don't go negative on games just for appearances sake.
