Joystiq poll: Waiting for E3
Apr 21st 2006 1:43PM (Joystiq)Also, Sony has had the spotlight for two generations now. Why can't someone other than them wrestle it away? I happen to feel that interest in Rev is here for many reasons, one being the controller. Another could be that many people do get tired of the same ol' same ol', and are looking for something with promise. Nintendo with their "revolution" holds much promise.
Whine about this site being pro-Nintendo if you must. But you have the ability to affect the outcome of this poll. I for one voted for Nintendo.

Mar 17th 2006 9:23PM (Joystiq Nintendo)This guy is so devoid of new ideas, that apparently all he can muster is a new Mortal Kombat title. If he can't think of anything, then he doesn't deserve the chance to try.
There are boards flooded with ideas from ordinary people, and this jerk can't come with anything!? Oh My God, theres no buttons!!!!!! What the hell do we do!!!!
Fuck-off Boon!

Nintendo Revolution prediction: second console of choice
Mar 8th 2006 2:54PM (Joystiq)This is a new strategy for console makers, and one that is probably going to pay off for Nintendo.
I have nothing against MS or Sony. There are enough games on both of those systems to justify a purchase. I will only be getting a Rev. But my friends and brother will definitely be getting a Rev and something else.
This isn't a threat to MS or Sony. They are only a threat to each other. Nintendo hopes to offer an alternitive to the status quo, that's all. Besides, who cares if some Joe Blow says something you don't like. These strategies have been in place for quite some time and they'll likely not change.
Buy what you want. But also note that there is something brand spankin new coming, and it is right around the corner. It will be offered to you at a low price and it'll be up to you to try it or not. It's that simple

Can't attract teenage boys (to your games)? Try Oprah.
Feb 11th 2006 2:20AM (Joystiq)A year ago everyone was laughing at Nintendo for being "out of touch" with gamers with their "puppy game" and now, the DS is owning the PSP. The audience that helped to lead the charge was girls and Nintendo saw boatloads of money pour in as well.
There is still going to be plenty of males buying Rev's and DS's by the ton, but Nintendo just might have women of many ages deciding they'll join in too. That is something Sony and Microsoft won't have.
