The FF7 and Unreal demos were Tech Demo, not actual gameplay.

To make affordable, they will have to water down the most expensive part(the blu-ray drive)and and that will be bad since the drive's architecture is extremely complecated to make we may have even more disc read errors this gen with the ps3.
