When I got diagnosed as predisposed to Type 2 Diabetes, I started looking at the sugars in almost everything. It's INSANE how much sugar is in things you wouldn't even think of. 1 serving of 'healthy' yogurts were between 12 and 26 grams of sugar. I got the 'fatfreelight' kind from Publix and hilariously the 2 with the least amount were the cappucino and caramel flavors, with about 10 each. Drinks, marinades, protein bars, salad dressings, an incredible amount of stuff has sugar added. Now every day is an obstacle course of finding things I CAN eat. Luckily a friend is heavily into the paleo/primal diet, and has a lot of suggestions that helped me reduce most carbs.

I wish there was some algorithm in existence that sterilized a moron the exact moment they posted something 'ironic' to a forum.

Tuna. I can't stand the smell of canned tuna, let alone the taste. I can tell if it's in something almost before I've entered the room.

In fact I can't stand most fish in general, especially freshwater fish. The smell is like microwaved cat food to me.

You know, I've gotten to the point where a survival horror game could take place in a Foot Locker and I would be thrilled. They barely ever come out with new ones and when they do the selection is incredibly varied. And yet action gamers have such a glut of titles to choose form they can afford to be picky with this 'Oh don't deign to condescened to us with yet ANOTHAH WW2 era game, I shall simply die if must play another!' I comb the freaking net for any sign of a new S/H game. When Rule of Rose came out I took a day off work. When Fatal Frame 3 came out I had a party. You do know how good you have it right? I would LOVE for this game to come out, but it probably won't.

There is no proven link between video games of ANY kind and violence. People used to blame this on demonic possession, then the evils of alcohol, or lack of 'moral teachings.'

Sony and Nintendo also have multi-year headstarts on Microsoft, with many already-extant game licenses and franchises. For Gamepro to compare Microsoft to Nintendo's lineage (25+ years!) in the game market is professionally irresponsible and another example of the pitiful journalism they subscribe to. Sony itself had the Sega and Dreamcast titles and licences to build on, even though the companies and licenses were all disparate at the time.

I hate the superlatives that people try to apply to systems, and it's just as apparent in the Gamepro article that that is alive and well. What the hell does 'the best' mean when you are providing a product that sells equally well? Competition is good, but entirely dominating a market is a monopoly and reduces the quality of content available. I get sick of seeing the same games over and over. I think new innovations like Viva Pinata or Gears of War or the entire Wii experience are great, but series regulars and sequels are just as welcome as new content.

Gamepro would deride a three-year-old for not being able to drive or file it's taxes, based on the fact that it's simply younger than its siblings. What douchebags.
