We get them cheap because they are subsidised by contract. If you by a phone without a contract, they cost a fortune. It's just that Apple are going to be cheeky and sell them expensive *with* a contract, like they've done stateside.
I think even with the many, many comments online, it's still a fairly low percentage that are failing. They've sold millions of units and there's no way 25% have failed.
What's not helping is that they do bad repair jobs and send you the same system back, which then breaks again. They should just bitethe bullet and give you a new 360.

MS may add an increase onto the increased spec (although i suspect not, to further undercut Sony), but it certainly won't be massive.
