England puts CCTVs in the homes of lousy parents

Wow, this is deeply ironic. A government that can't even manage it's own expenses (has a large amount of debt), lower it's crime rate, or stabilize it's own currency is somehow going to help raise people's children. It's a crazy world.

To Fix the economy:
Less Government
Less Taxes
Less Regulation
More Free Markets
Less Government spending (keynesian theory does not work and was debunked in the 80s)
Politicians actually educated on economic theory (with the intercollegiate studies institute finding out that the average score of congress, in a test of basic economics, was 39%, that's worse then the average American's score)

If anything the creationist should be happy with this game. It has far more to do with creationism then evolution. The creatures are created and guided by intelligent beings (intelligence may vary) but the creatures can't make it without an intelligent being controlling them. Naturalistic chances wouldn't work at all in this game. Just thought that was ironic on both the game and the creationists parts

So true, this thing is incredibly ugly and really offers limited functionality improvements over the competitors. I know everyone here loves to jump on whatever is new but this things sounds like a poor idea beyond being supported by google. Maybe the linux foundation will come up with something good.

Google's Android OS early look SDK now available

Nov 12th 2007 2:07PM (Engadget)
I think the OS looks fine, nothing new but then again i don't really know that much about mobile OSes. The thing is that unlike computers no one buys a phone for the OS (besides the geeks, i guess) but i think that most people buy phones based on style first and then function. The motorola razor is a prime example, the OS sucked but the phone looked so cool that everyone bought one. I mean that phone alone brought moto from the brink. So all that to say i think that for cell phones all the power is in the hardware manufactures not the os guys. This is why I don't think that this thing by itself will really have any impact on something like the apple iphone in terms of sales (it's stock price is another matter). We will have to see what the hardware guys do.
