I am obviously basing my opinion on the SAME footage/pictures that everyone else is basing theirs on. By your standards, everyone who is forming an opinion on these elements is 'spouting off knowledge about things they have no information about'. It's pretty obvious I'm not going to make my final decision on the information at hand now, but I believe the beta will give me a pretty damn good idea of what the final product will roughly be like, and I think that it's giving the game a fair chance to prove itself. I don't understand your analogy of the Lord of the rings book. Did you like the movies better? Do you feel this makes you a more intelligent person? If you mean that it was annoying that after a great film you had to listen to people rave about how much better the book was and how the movie was 'totally not like the book and they left so much out it sucked' then we're in the same boat, but that, of course, hardly relates to the topic of discussion.

The analogy of 'If you don't like the Halo series you should drop the xbox controller and go back to sony land' is one of the most absurd things I witness over and over. Who cares if he thinks if Halo 3 is going to suck or not! Obviously not everyone has had the same amazing Halo experience that Halo fanboys keep raving about. I'm sure most gamers have played Halo at some point in time, and yes, it is over-hyped, deal with it. The 360 was not created for Halo 3, Halo 3 was created for the 360. Now I'm going to say it. Halo 3 looks mediocre at best. I'll try the beta, and if it's not worth buying, I'm not going to, and you can kiss my xbox 360 fanboy ass if you don't like it.

The only noticeable difference I could tell was that the 360 appeared to have higher texture detail. Regardless, I am stoked for this game!

This is a game I am definitely picking up! I don't think that Halo 3 will be laying a shadow over much. It is, after all, just a way over hyped shooter. I mean, it doesn't look terrible, but it doesn't look amazing either.

I don't think anyone is going postal. It seems that most people are just claiming the video to be fake.
