I'm having a weird issue where no plug-ins load for Safari. I'm talking everything from Flash and Quicktime, through to Garmin and QuakeLive.

It only affects Safari, have trashed the prefs and reinstalled.

Any ideas?

Thinking about it some more, it also explains why there are no cease and desists from Apple and why gearlive are so happy flaunting this all over the net. In the wake of what happened to thinksecret, i don't think i would be so....obvious.

If you chance the carrier name and icon, they are not changed back after a software update. This also happens if you change it on 1.1.2 and then do a firmware restore.

I've just realised what's going on here.

Gearlive receive the update from an anonymous person just after xmas. I reckon that Apple have given them the update themselves to show the new features to the public. Why? To make the people who received an iPhone / Touch at Xmas think twice before jailbreaking it.

I was thinking the exact same thing. Although it is more likely that the airport is wired to the mini and broadcasting the internet connection rather than receiving it.

Otherwise, why not plug the mini directly into the internet source?

Isn't it just checking for the screensize? If horizontal > vertical then the iPhone is on it's side. If vertical > horizontal then the iPhone is the right way up.
