Wii Warm Up: E3 -- your thoughts

Jul 15th 2007 8:29PM (Joystiq Nintendo)
Overall, I thought E3 was a major success. I was very pleased with Microsoft and Nintendo because they had offer more for more people. Sony, on the other hand, I wasn't too thrilled with. They had some good stuff, but most of it was also being offered by Microsoft. The Microsoft press conference was a major success, but I missed Nintendo's & Sony's. I can safely say because of the last year or 2 I have finally lost faith in Sony as a video game company. I also plan on getting a 360 (possibly the new Halo 3 edition) and I already have a Wii but plan on getting many new games for it thanks to this years E3. Here are my closing ratings on each company:

Microsoft: 9.5/10
Nintendo: 8/10
Sony: 4/10

The Wii Guitar Hero controller: First image!

Jul 10th 2007 11:35PM (Joystiq Nintendo)
"10. i guess i'm confused: how do the button presses on the guitar get transmitted to the wii?

a) via gamecube legacy port (wired)
b) via an additional wiimote wireless connection (if you have 4 wii remotes, it replaces one?)
c) somehow it transfers the button presses to the wiimote in the slot in the guitar (how??)

seems like this would be the major factor in price."

regarding option c, i think what happens is the guitar has bluetooth built in, like the wiimote, and it only "turns on" when the wiimote is in the guitar.then the guitar "becomes the wiimote". it proably has a motion sensor on it so it can register buttons & such. thats the best i can come up with but i might be dead wrong...

Wii Warm Up: WiiAIM

i agree w/ elliot. but if someone did come out w/ something like that then it would probably be a wireless bluetooth keyboard otherwise they're gona have to make a 6 ft cord for it. also i really dont see the problem w/ surfing the web on the Wii. its perfectly fine w/ me
