I don't think it tells us anything about gamers. The whole "only hardcore gamers buy M-Rated games" is complete bullshit.
If a game carries a particular rating, especially one thats more restrictive, more people want to buy it.
But thats not what this articles about, as someone said, because the games aimed at whats believed to be a smaller (but actually more popular) demographic, more time is put into these games to make them better.
Besides, those games with ratings that are alright for kids to play are usually of the "kids summer movie" or "kids TV show" tie-in variety.
Christ, can they tell us anymore about this game? There's going to be some suprises, but Halo doesn't need as much info released as they are doing considering how popular the series is.
I wouldn't call the current crop of 360 and PS3 titles next-gen, they're merely updates of the style of games we were playing on the PS2, Cube and XBox which in themselves were updates of the PS1, N64, DC and Saturn era.
The last jump we had was between the 16-bit and 32-bit era's that was what I'd deem a "next-gen" jump.
As much as I love the MGS series, I'd much rather hear something about Zone of the Enders 3!!! Maybe that'll be the "even better" game on 360 Splattered thinks will happen
What does it matter that she's a little big? She looks good for it if you ask me? Besdies, she's probably only about a size 14 (UK) 16 max.
The guys the one with a problem, if your missus doesn't do it any more for you because she has a bit of post pregnancy weight, talk to her about it, I'm she'd do the same if he grew a beer belly! Likewise, if you're struggling with your kid, and I'm a father of a 2 and a half year old little girl who I've been through alot with!, then again, talk to your partner.
I'm a gamer myself, I have every top system released from the Genesis/Mega Drive and SNES era upto the PS2,XBox and 360 and went through a spout of online gaming addiction with PSO on the Dreamcast where I would be on it from 10pm through to 6am every single day of the week. I wasn't making excuses however, I started playing the game because I enjoyed it, not for an escape, and soon became addicted, its easy to do, one more level, ooh such and such is playing, wonder if they need any help blah blah blah.
The way they went about curing his addiction was wrong yes, shredding the CD wont do anything without a follow-up program, my addiction was cured by my mum (I was only 16/17 at the time) cancelling our Internet Sub.
Also I don't think she'd stop him from doing something he enjoys, but when your playing a game for 40 hours a week for 6 months (during that time I'd of completed a good portion of my offline games!) its taking the piss a bit, especially with having a job and a family.
