I wasn't saying subsidising is bad - I did it myself when I subsidised the creation of my own business with my salary from work.

What I was getting at is that things are bad over at Sony at the moment. Roll back 10 years and the Playstation brand was subsidising other areas inside Sony, including their consumer electronics division, with around 70% of their profit coming from the gaming division. Now Sony's having to sell investments to fund the absolute balls-up that is the PS3. If that's not a sign of change (and for the worse) then I don't know what is.

I just can't imagine the level of incompetence that it has taken to go from being in a position where they could have sold virtually anything back in 2005, to where they are now having to release different SKUs just to get some sales figures that aren't an embarrassment.

The flaming is just me having a bit of fun with some people less fortunate than ourselves. =)

LOL, you bought a PS3. I'm sorry but I had to stop reading at that point because anyone who bought one of those over-priced door-stops doesn't deserve to be listened to. Anyone who knows anything about gaming knows that the #1 reason to own a console is for its games.

You paid $599 for a console that has 2 games worth playing. You lose all credibility right there.
