I'm back

Dammit. I stop checking you daily for a week or so and you go and change everything.

Looks like I'm not the only one under the influence of a lesser apocalypse.

Are you sure?

Macs are easy ? change is... not that hard

After adapting (Waaay back in the heady days of System 7), I haven't had any trouble switching between Windows and MacOS or MacOS X.... of course, I only use Windows for 3d work and web checking in IE. The only major issue I've ever had is I've forgotten all of the Windows shell commands.

Not that said information was ever really, yanno, used.

I think the problem with Lost is the same problem Prison Break is developing - the show proved a big hit, the network ordered another season (and another), and the writers - who obviously (in both cases) expected to have one, maybe two seasons - tops! - were stuck trying to figure out how to stretch it out.

File both shows under "Why I like Babylon 5."

I tried Torchwood. Really, I did. Gave up after about four episodes... better described as "X-Files in the Whoverse" as opposed to "Doctor Who for adults." I also gave up on Lost for a different list of reasons - TV viewing for me these days consists mostly of Heroes, Prison Break, Criminal Minds, and grimacing through Battlestar Galactica.

Oh, and Magnum PI reruns.

Adobe: get with the program

Fireworks is seriously good stuff. Though I've only ever used it for animation assembly and image optimization (man, can that application make tight PNGs, JPEGs and GIFs).

Adobe: get with the program

There's a reason I'm still on the PPC hardware, still running software (like Photoshop 5.5 and Illustrator 9) in Classic - it actually works. And more importantly, it's actually stable. I've found it's worth putting up with boatloads of suck in terms of open/save dialogues, memory address limits, swap speed, hardware, etceteras - it's worth it for the simple fact that I don't have to worry about, say, font display working properly on one machine but not another... or some wit of a programmer deciding add/remove point needed to be weened off of the meta keys.

Obscure N64 games on the Revolution

Still waiting for a decent sequel to the original SNES Actraiser (I liked the sim elements as well as the action), and can we get some F-Zero in the hizzy?!

I'm with mdxi on the wtf Cruisin'. The thing that made those games even remotely palatable was cutting loose with a friend in a full-sized sit-down arcade cabinet.
