Mario vs. DK 2: March of the Minis opening CG

May 19th 2006 4:48PM (Joystiq Nintendo)
The original Mario vs Donkey Kong for the GBA was great, and this sequel looks like it can only be better.

I've read that it will allow players to create levels and share them over the Nintendo WiFi Connection. Does that sound awesome, or what?

Nintendo invokes good names to defend a bad one [update 1]

Apr 29th 2006 2:27AM (Joystiq)
Nintendo should've used Xbox as an example. (But I guess that would give the competition attention.) That is a silly (and lazy) name, if you ask me. Xbox. It's "box", but with x in the prefix. Yes, I know, the console is a box with an x across the top, but that really has little to do with video gaming. At least the concept behind Wii relates to the console's purpose.

Castlevania DS: Art Style of Ugliness

Apr 20th 2006 9:18PM (Joystiq)
Who had the bright idea to change the style anyways? I can't imagine anyone sitting at a table with renders of the same character in different styles, and picking that horrible, cheesy anime style over the gothic style.

New details on the Family Guy game

I guess I'll be getting my first new PS2 game since I got GTA: San Andreas last year.

Meteos discontinued?

You're damn right I already own it!

Red Steel revealed: First Revolution screenshots [Update 1]

Apr 7th 2006 7:19PM (Joystiq Nintendo)
Did anyone else notice how the front of the Revmote has changed? The infrared thing (or whatever it is) is in the shape of a circle. In past photos it was a more of an irregular shape (see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Revcon_screen006.jpg).

DS rumble pak attack

Apr 6th 2006 10:46PM (Joystiq Nintendo)
"[Update: a more thrifty reader by the name of Cosmos comments that it may be obtained direct from Nintendo for $9.95 US.]"

Heh :P

As far as I know, the rumble pak can *only* be obtained by ordering it online, unless of course you buy Metroid Prime Pinball, and in that case you get it for free.

DS rumble pak attack

Apr 6th 2006 7:33PM (Joystiq Nintendo)
$24.95? I ordered mine online from the Nintendo store (http://store.nintendo.com) for $9.99.

Anyways, it's a must-own for any Hunters player. Unfortunately, it is noticably loud, which means I have to pull it out when I play my DS in school (at least when the class is quiet).

Metareview - Metroid Prime: Hunters (DS)

"Why don't we practice a little more restraint with our words lest they lose their power?"

You haven't played the game, have you? =P

Ok, so maybe I'm exaggerating just a tad. To be precise, MPH is 98.5% perfect, just shy of Oreos (98.7%) and sex (99.98%). I was never a fan of Superman.

Metareview - Metroid Prime: Hunters (DS)

Mar 22nd 2006 10:18AM (Joystiq)
Metroid Prime: Hunters is hands down *the* best DS game in existence. It puts Mario Kart DS to shame; don't get me wrong, MKDS is amazing itself, but MPH has raised the bar. Compared to MPH, everything else sucks.

For those who have yet to purchase this game, what are waiting for? Stop reading this, and go purchase it!
