BioShock 2 emerges on Mac today

Mar 29th 2012 3:19PM (Joystiq)
@baby sea tuna Agreed. We as a culture really need to get beyond everything being the greatest thing of all time or worthless. The second Bioshock game was very good, but couldn't possibly meet expectations or match the impact of being introduced to that world for the first time. That more than anything is why I think it was so smart for them to break from Rapture completely for this third game.

As to the Mac release, this is why I finally bought a PS3. Despite Macs selling in massive numbers in the last five years, AAA game designers still don't really think of it as anything but an afterthought.

@grovberg You know, I'm starting to wonder if this just wasn't an entirely made up promotion just to get some attention. Pretty sleazy, but effective.

"Next week" seems to be one of those vague amounts of time like "soon." :-)

@Shadowbender Ooh ooh! I got it! SimCity: Rapture!

But seriously good call. That would be a really interesting story to see played out.

Infinity Blade: Dungeons, Namco's Sky Gamblers shown off on new iPad [Update: Infinity Blade trailer and details]

Guys, the iPad and PS3/Xbox don't have to mutually exclusive. I don't think the point of the memory comment was to say "and therefore this should replace game systems." but more along the lines of "Man, we've come a long way in a very short amount of time." And we have!

Anyone with half a brain understands that dedicated game systems aren't going anywhere any time soon. Sales of both consoles are STILL quite good even though they are both over five years old. But it is nice to know that when you are away from your console, that the games you use to pass the time won't necessarily be constrained by the performance of the device you already have with you.

Seriously, this is a net win for everyone. No need for hate.

Yeah, I want to kiss the art director for this full on the lips. That looks amazing, though it also makes me wish for an El Tigre game.

Poison was always a transgender character, and here's a documentary proving it

I could not possibly care less about the gender of a fictional character for a game I probably won't even play, but the scope of this video is amazing and just awesome in every way. Well done.

I'd be interested to see sales for both PSPs overlaid on this.

Right, cause exercise isn't really exercise unless it's boring and painful.

I realize it's a photoshopped iPhone 4, but that's a damn find looking device. I wish the Vita looked more like that.
