Alltel releases the HTC Touch Pro

Verizon's network is supposedly "open" now, meaning you can hook up almost any CDMA phone on their network, regardless off its originating carrier.

Alltel releases the HTC Touch Pro

The red stands out against the black keys, and the turquoise is just one of many color schemes you can select within the UI. Fresh off the boat? Wow, borderline racism aside, this phone is the latest and greatest in the CDMA realm, and I for one am stoked.

Alltel getting Touch Pro?

Yeah, that's the one! They like to chase rabbits and get off topic over there, but that thread is/was the discussion topic of if & when Alltel is getting the Touch Pro. Thanks man, I appreciate it.

Alltel getting Touch Pro?

Hey, I don't doubt your word one bit, but give me some background info on you so I can tell the guys back at ppcgeeks why your claim is "credible." Do you work for Alltel? How did you come by the phone, are you a beta tester? What is the release date? Can you give any specs on the phone? Processor, memory (ram/rom), storage, gyro-sensor, etc..? Thanks in advance for the info, and if you blow me off, thanks for the teaser photo anyway~ ;-P

Alltel getting Touch Pro?

The question I'd love Engadget Mobile to answer, is whether or not Alltel is going to receive the watered down "step-child" variant of the Touch Pro that Verizon is rumored to be getting, or are they going to get the Power House version that Sprint is carrying?

HTC Touch Pro hands-on

Like I said in my earlier post, Windows Mobile is far from perfect, but is vastly superior to the crippled OS on the iPhone. The only thing the iPhone has going for it is its large storage and it's g-sensor to automatically rotate the viewing aspect. But I ask you, can it act as a wireless wifi modem for your other wifi-enabled devices? Does it even have a freakin' camera? The geniuses over at xda-developers have turned windows mobile based HTC devices into tiny super computers! You fanboys wet yourselves every time someone "cracks" the latest Steve Jobs incription on your phones. He doesn't WANT your phone to be better! He wants to put it in a little box and limit it's ability. With the latest HTC phones, the limit to what they can do is your imagination! Want an app that blocks unwanted calls and text messages? Don't wait for Jobs to charge you an arm and a leg for it through his over-priced app store. Go install the cab on your phone yourself. Chances are, it's out there as freeware and you won't have to jailbreak your phone to install it. The iPhone is a great device, don't get me wrong, but it is what it is, a dumbed-down smart phone at best. Please don't write irresponsible fanboy rhetoric like "If the put Android on it it might stand a chance"! HTC's Windows Mobile lineup already more than holds its own against the iPhone, and this new little gem dubbed the HTC Touch Pro, or Raphael, or Herman, depending on whom carries it, further widens the gap IMHO.
