That's an idiotic statement. So, when/if you become a parent (if you aren't already), that means, statistically speaking, there's a good chance you will be a bad parent, right? Or are you somehow above all that? I think you are being drawn to examples of bad parenting in public, but not realizing that there are even more good parents out there that don't draw your attention.

I agree, but I believe the amount of parents doing this is vastly overblown by people who don't have a clue and probably aren't even parents.

Lots of people keep talking about how all parents "nowadays" are stupid, but does anyone have any firsthand knowledge of this? You have parents on here talking about how they ARE attentive parents and then you have limited examples shown in the media where they aren't, yet with all that information, many believe all parents are stupid. Comments like yours just fuel the hype that all parents are inattentive and will lead to the downfall of society. Get real.

There's also a K-Mart in Bremerton, WA, which is just a ferry ride and a 15-minute car ride away from Seattle. It may be worth a shot to call them, even though no one seems to be in the electronics dept. ever.
