Camtasia 7.1 giveaway and video review

Indeed it's an awesome program, can't wait to hopefully win and find out even moreso myself!

Steam's definitely coming to Mac -- and maybe Valve's first-party games too!

Guys, VIRTUALIZATION! I can see them set it up so that they put some sort of virtualization layer on it, and minimize the strain in making a PC game work on a Mac. It would make sense, and even if they charged a one time fee for that cross platform functionality, you'd pay it. I would.

Through Grief, David Lee Shows His Professionalism

Jan 20th 2010 11:51AM (Fanhouse NBA Blog)
Professionalism is a very fair word to describe the steps he went through so that he could be there for his job, and be there for his family. He looks like someone who feels like he's blessed to have what he does, not entitled to it, and that's refreshing.

I own a Nostromo n50 arcade pad, made for the left hand and made to be totally customizeable. It makes more sense for me to program that than it would to buy something this closed-minded.

I agree, sadly, this fails due to being stuck with what they define. Heck, Google changes something, you're hosed!

Count me as interested. Might be useful for the office!

EA pulling plug on older sports games' servers

Jan 4th 2010 1:37PM (Joystiq)
Once again, I can't imagine why someone there who's ever heard of virtualization couldn't take their 20 game servers running this and combine them into one server. Of course, this would cost money (although it would save them gobs more), and it would keep people playing games they'd rather you not play anymore.

Sucks for us gamers, that's for sure.

Seven Fantasy Studs Chasing 30/30

Jun 25th 2009 11:39AM (Fanhouse Fantasy Baseball)
No mention of Mark Reynolds? He has 13 steals at this point, so if he gets on base at least sometimes, he could get to 30-30.

B.J. Mullens to Enter NBA Draft

Mar 27th 2009 1:09PM (Fanhouse NCAA Tournament)
There's no way that he is ready. Yes, he has size and some moves, but if he can't dominate smaller guys in the Big 10, how is he going to go up against seven footers every night?

He won't. He'll be the 12th guy on the bench, make too much money, and cost someone a good draft pick wasted.

OCZ introduces Apex series of 2.5-inch SATA II SSDs

Jan 15th 2009 3:42PM (Engadget)
... and there's the kicker. Will these be using the JMicron controller that causes the stuttering, or have they introduced a new chipset into play that can at least come close to getting to Intel performance levels?
