I wouldn't be too surprised to see this game appear on the virtual console.

God forbid someone have some light hearted fun. Spend 5 mins less a day taking yourself seriously. Lemme guess, you're constantly looking over your shoulder making sure no one sees you doing something kiddy, like having fun?

It would be more apt to say that SMB was bundles with NES. People weren't buying NES for the hardware. It had a killer app that moved units, and that killer app was Super Mario Bros.
