Tempting, but I don't want to encourage EA. If a few of their AAA titles tank on PC due to origin hopefully they will see the error of their ways and release titles through steam again.

I am totally confused by this console-first policy that so many developers seem to have today. While it's true that piracy is a bigger problem on the PC the profit margins also have the potential to be much bigger. See

If you treat the PC market right you won't have that huge glut of initial sales but can expect to see revenue coming in from digital transactions for months, if not years, after retail console sales have dried up.

Yet every day we learn about some new half-baked console port that doesn't even bother to remove the 'Press Start to Begin' text from the main menu. Can someone please inform developers/publishers that they are flushing money down the toilet by skimping on PC development?

Historically I'm not a huge bf fan (love CS:S and early CoD i.e. 1 & 2) but I got enough enjoyment out of bf2 and bc2 to justify this purchase. The fact that they are making the PC the primary platform is just icing on the cake. I didn't buy mw2 because of the console focus and lack of dedicated servers so I'm glad to see that SOME developers still understand how to build an excellent game from a technology standpoint.

In other news...is anyone else finding the tiny map sizes and low player counts of blops incredibly frustrating?

I just want to point out that not everyone is having these issues. I own the PC version and while I do experience occasional stuttering and lag as shown in this video, it's nowhere near that bad. The lag shown in the video is at least 10x worse than what I experience. I do have a pretty beefy computer however (i7 860 + 5870) so maybe that's why I'm spared. Regardless, I hope Treyarch has a fix for this in the near future.
