I think that the point with BET is that all of the other channels, especially in the 80s, were WET in everything but name. Much like the other 11 months of the year are white history months.

Oh, and I don't see african americans in a kerfluffle over CMT, so there. You know, 'cause country music is for white people, and so CMT is like WET, and, well, nevermind.

I think now that we have resources like the yuen wo ping (sp?) fighting team and much better special effects that the "wierding way" of the fremen, which was just hyper-advanced hand-to-hand combat, could be accurately portrayed, instead of the highly unfortunate magic gun in the Lynch version. I love Dune (the books), and I love David Lynch, so Lynch's version for me has been love/hate, in that I love the ideas for visually representing the book, but the shortcuts they were required to take were very painful (and I am still not entirely happy with the way the bene gesserit are portrayed, the reverend mothers weren't bald crones!). Dune nerd rant over.

Yeah, but lest you forget, "stinkbombs", as they are so misleadingly named, can clear out a classroom for hours and cost children time for learning and waste taxpayers' money!!!

What I meant is that it wasn't very funny compared to his other stuff, and he is getting kind of oversaturated, like an indie band that starts getting heavy airplay on top 40 stations. And no, sadly I am not a special person.
