MAG dev calls Xbox Live 'more juvenile' than PSN

Jan 22nd 2010 1:37PM (Joystiq Playstation)
If there are more foul mouthed kids on XBox live it's only because there are more people using XBox Live. Get enough people together annonymously there will be no shortage of jerks. Sometimes these very forums are perfect examples.

DigitalFoundry compares Assassin's Creed II on 360, PS3

Nov 20th 2009 9:28AM (Joystiq)
The graphics difference isn't worth it either way. I decide which to buy on other factors and that always seems to favor the 360 in my case.

For me the controllers aren't even close. The 360's just feels right to me. Nice weight, feels sturdy. Gets even better w/ chatpad attached. Hate the PS3's. Hate their charging system. I think the 6-axis stuff generally sucks at least so far.

I am totally invested in Gamerscore. Not very competitive with others - I know I don't have the time they do - but I really do enjoy seeing "Achievement Unlocked". Winning trophys don't mean anything to me. Can't explain it - just the way it is.

I really don't like the user interface on the PS3. You look at the 2 of them and you can the roots of the companies. Microsoft - software company who knows how to deliver information in a nice fun way. Sony - it looks like it was designed by engineers from their ivory tower clean rooms - efficient but nothing else.

Blu-ray of course you can't compare but to my eyes at least the PS3 does a bit better job on the regular DVD upscaling. Maybe thats just me since I have the PS3 connected via HDMI and the 360 by component. That being said I have had some TV show DVDs that played fine on the 360 but certain episodes wouldn't play on the PS3 - very weird.

To each their own - buy it on the one you would rather sit and use for hours upon end.

White House's Call for 'Informants' Draws Conservatives' Ire

Aug 5th 2009 8:55AM (Politics Daily)
Instead of everyone getting silly about this how about just participating. My email to flag@whitehouse.gov:

To whom it may concern,

I’d like to applaud you in your efforts to eliminate disinformation on the issue of health care. In a effort to help I’d like to report a website:

http://www.whitehouse.gov/blog/Facts-Are-Stubborn-Things/

On this horribly misleading website a woman named Linda Douglass incorrectly states that Mr. Obama DID NOT say he wanted to eliminate private health insurance.

In fact he did state that in 2003 to a speech to the AFL-CIO that "I happen to be a proponent of a single payer universal health care program. I see no reason why the United States of America, the wealthiest country in the history of the world, spending 14 percent of its Gross National Product on health care cannot provide basic health insurance to everybody. And that’s what Jim is talking about when he says everybody in, nobody out. A single payer health care plan, a universal health care plan. And that’s what I’d like to see." This is not edited. This is not cherry picked. This is not pieces of different speeches all edited together. This is what he actually said.

It also shows a video of Mr. Obama stating that if you have a insurance plan you like you will be able to keep it. This is also untrue. Page 16 of the House bill lays out how Insurance companies will no longer be able to sell new policies. As people fall out of the private option through life or job changes the insurance companies will be unable to replace them. Inevitably they will be forced to cancel - forcing citizens to lose their private coverage.

Obviously this website is at worst lying to and at the very least misleading the American Public and cannot be trusted. I truly hope action will be taken.

Thank you for your attention,

Bob
