Halo: Reach gameplay premieres with multiple Spartans (and some ladies!) [update: now with hi-res]

Dec 12th 2009 10:20PM (Joystiq)
It's the first look at the game, a cutscene, everyone relax about no gameplay jeez. There's still a year before the game is released, let Bungie do its thing. Knowing them, this is just the first of many trailers, this was just a lovely teaser with some goodies.

All that aside, the cutscene trailer was EPIC and the graphics are some of the best I've ever seen. It has a very welcomed dark/gritty look to it.

Halo: Reach premiere at VGAs will be actual gameplay, says Keighley

I am so ready for Halo again. Odst was a great change of pace, brought something new for sure, but I'm ready for another full out Halo experience with a new multiplayer dynamic, similar to what each new Halo brought to the gaming world.

Halo Reach will be epic, I'm calling it now.

What about Halo? That's not at the top of the FPS genre?

Xbox Live Top 10: People apparently played CoD4, World at War

In my opinion, W@W's campaign was much better than cod4's, less linear, more freedom from waiting every two feet for someone to open a door for you, and I feel it was a much more diverse and interesting set of levels and objectives. I feel like Cod4 did a great job of holding your hand like a baby the entire play through, I never once felt like I controlled what to do or how to do it; that seems to be a step in the wrong direction for campaigns.

Just my opinion though.

ODST reaches 2.5 million sales; Haloverse expansions detailed

I don't think it has been milked at all. How many Mario themed games have been released just since Halo CE? They release games with more gaps in time between titles than most gaming series (including the beloved COD or Madden/sports series). The difference is Halo has the story and mystique (and the Chief) to back up each and every game, and no game has ever felt rushed (some may say Halo 2 but I, and millions of others, enjoyed the hell out of that game).

The "problem" is every Halo game gets hyped out the ass (rightfully so), and if you let yourself get overwhelmed by it, you will end up hating the franchise and everyone involved with it. I for one let the hype drag me in (like it's designed to do) and go along for the exciting ride.

PS - I miss Game Fuel; I thought it was delicious AND stimulating =0)

Not a bad idea, but it seems like it'd be tough to use those thumbsticks and also push the buttons at the right.

I'm sorry, I don't care how much "better" the PS3 is than the 360 as far as hardware goes......that controller is just awful for gaming.

They should have put the "[sic]" after the "everyone's", not after the "who's".

Anyway, who's [sic] gives [sic] a SHITE [sic].
