Joystiq reviews: Bomberman Live (XBLA)

Aug 5th 2007 2:28PM (Joystiq)
Good advice, every time I read anything here I get burned, but it's hard to give up on a site altogether.

I guess I'll try redirecting joystiq to 127.0.0.1 in my hosts.

[Updated] Jeff Bell asks message board user: "And your contribution to society is ... what?"

Jul 19th 2007 9:14AM (Joystiq)
"I don't think I need to explain the implications of a corporate exec going all vendetta on some kid outside of the forum."

What? There is no implications. I personally have been attacked by one of the top guys at Gearbox software, for example (those guys are real jerks). Lots of people have been attacked by one of the old PR guys on the Epic software message boards. This happens all the time. People are people, and when an employee of ANY company attacks any other person anonymously, it's not a big deal. It really does happen all the time.

The more interesting news is the update that says this information leak has been "dealt with", for a few years now there has been much internal strife in the NeoGAF administration staff, nearly all of it invisible even to the regular posters there.

This is certainly NOT newsworthy.

Who CARES what goes on in ANY forum, unless it has real implications to someone outside the forum?

Also, Joystiq's NAME is banned at NeoGAF, I think Joystiq should ban the name NeoGAF from news articles.

Peter Moore tells Joystiq about the new warranty program

Jul 5th 2007 7:09PM (Joystiq)
The games media hates this because it takes away the #1 news item they reported on for the last one and a half years, giving them ad revenue on article clicks.

The fanboys hate this because this makes the 360 the clear and obvious winner this gen.

Super Stardust HD shoots up PSN today

Jun 28th 2007 4:25PM (Joystiq)
First off, the title didn't come out on the 15th or whatever in Europe. It's still no out AFAIK.

Secondly, I hear it's supposed to be released tomorrow on US PSN, but it could be delayed again, I suppose.

Damn you Joystiq for making me check for myself. Can't you do a little of the work yourselves?

Soul Calibur's new bountiful bouncing breasts, now in screenshot form (in EGM)

Jun 28th 2007 4:23PM (Joystiq)
I think the game is coming along quite well, especially considering Namco says the graphics aren't anywhere near done.

That entire EGM article was pretty perverted, lol. I have no problems with Ivy's bust size at all. It's crazy, but these are videogames...

Finally, it's amazing Joystiq managed to 'get in trouble' like this yet again. Joystiq reminds me of an innocent forum poster, why do I keep visiting it though?

Nintendo hearts the environment

Jun 25th 2007 9:18PM (Joystiq)
There's pretty much no significance to a site with the word 'Nintendo' in it reporting on Nintendo's internal policies.

I'd rather have an unbiased report from some environmental agency, not even a game related one.

Xbox 360 owners reporting blank video output issue

Jun 25th 2007 5:50PM (Engadget)
I actually had to think back to remember I did have this problem with my launch 360.

The colors would slowly get staticy and the colors would start turning dark. That 360 also froze up A LOT, which was why I sent it into MS to get a new one. That was over a year ago, and my current one has been fine (other than occasional freezes, usually related to internet play / access).

Law & Order game pulled from shelves, image of murdered child to blame

YouFaceTheTick shouldn't have the right to post on Joystiq.

Nintendo and Sony won't touch Manhunt 2 with AO rating

Jun 20th 2007 8:51PM (Joystiq)
Kudos to ESRB, Nintendo, Sony, MS, and everyone else working to stop this game.

Shitty games like these SHOULDN'T be published, and the marketing angle was selling on shock value alone.
