This sucks, there are just no other good RSS readers for BB's. I guess, it comes at around the same time I'll be switching carriers//phones, so it isn't that big of a deal, but this is pretty horrible.

Both Twitterberry and SocialScope support twitpic... I haven't used TweetGenius yet, but I have high hopes for it.

Facebook users hate the redesign, but does it matter?

I would also like to point out how little the uproar there was for the new tabbed interface push out a few months back. It gave users a way to get to more essential content to them while cutting out the content that they simply don't care about.

Facebook users hate the redesign, but does it matter?

Mar 22nd 2009 2:25AM (Download Squad)
Most of my friends that are not on twitter despise the layout with a passion, but the exact same thing happened in the last change, which was a much more drastic change. I voted that most people don't really hate it. The design here is as fundamental of a change as before, but it does reorganize data better. Facebook is better to not listen to their users. I'd say give it a few weeks and people will start to understand the redesign. Essential content is easier to narrow down.

But saying that they seemed to have taken functionality away and need to improve a few UI things. Toolbars need to be moved, icons enlarged and a way to filter out content they don't want to see needs to be more evident, a simple hover over "X" just doesn't do it. If you have a feature where you need someone to tell you how to do something to actually do it just has never worked out. The filtering mechanisms need to improve. It was also disappointing to see they removed a truly live feed instead of having to refresh the page to get updated content. Less user intervention = more user interaction.
