I personally dont like racing sims - which is why I stick to Burnout. But if I did want to buy a racing sim, I would want something on which the team has spent time and effort to replicate actual car physics and which looks and plays realistically.
There are 3 categories of racing games imho:
arcade: Burnout, Motorstorm
sim wannabe: NFS, Grid, Forza
The 3rd category has just 2 entries: real life, and GT. And GT looks better than real life :)
