Regardless of the actual story details, MAD props for using the cover image from the official Marvel pen-and-paper RPG from way back! Hooo boy, I can't believe that anybody else had that. Man, I loved that game.
Aha! My friends and I had been saying that they should change the name next season. Bravo, I say, for daring to take the show in a different direction rather than doing the same thing and becoming stale (I'm looking at YOU, "Lost").
Our consensus for a new name was "On The Run", or something similar. Will the name actually *totally* change, or will it be "Prison Break: Blah Blah" as suggested above? I can't wait...
Can you still be a good samaritan if you're a jerk?
The way this guy tells the story makes him sound like a pompous know-it-all, all because Matthew Perry didn't know something that is supposedly obvious. And he has the nerve to call himself a good samaritan at the end! If a stranger gave me such smarmy, condescending advice I'd probably ignore it.
Incorrect regarding Prison Break - the show's creators have plans for at least a second season, which they and the stars have already acknowledged in interviews, for example:
"Who's gonna believe the iGame when we all know that Apple is definitely working on a Video iPod, that's also a cell phone... and a tablet PC... and that's the system that will have handheld gaming functionality!"
Perhaps the point was to get lots of media coverage by hitching themselves to the Apple bandwagon. And I, for one, don't think that's going to...oh wait. I guess it did work.
Incidentally, I find this fake announcement much more interesting that the *real* Apple announcement at the end of February.
It wouldn't hurt to mention that Call For Help was resurrected by G4/TechTV *CANADA*, which has been airing and producing the show for well over a year. G4 (the American channel dropped the "TechTV" part) is picking up this show because of its ridiculous success in Canada and Australia, in addition to Leo's overwhelming internet popularity. Some props where they're due, please.
This is "Op-ed"? A one-paragraph piece with a groundless cheap shot at what many would consider to be one of the smartest and funniest shows on television? Classy.
