Me and my friends were an hour and a half into the Halo 3 Vidmaster: Annual acheivement and about 10 minutes away from finishing when Xbox Live went down!

I think it's worth noting that not only is that possible release date shown in the jumble of text, but also appears in the bottom right corner of the screen during the text "Prepare to", near the end. This is what you'll see there.

Powerpoint 2008 couldn't open a Windows Powerpoint I needed, but Keynote had no problem.

I think if that's true they should just go right ahead and make the PS3 version better. I know I sure as hell wouldn't blame them for doing more on the PS3 if it's indeed capable of more.

The only problem I've had so far is random disconnects from Free Mode games (haven't had a chance to test it much on the other game types). In the 3 hours I played last night I must have disconnected 5 times. It's not something that usually happens to me in other games, so I doubt it's network related. However, I'm hoping it is and it clears up soon.

I love the Halo universe, and I enjoyed Oni, but I really hope this isn't true. The ODSTs are cool characters, but I really want to see Bungie do something besides Halo. The universe is getting really oversaturated (if this game is real there will be 3 Halo games in the future!) and I want to see an interesting new IP from them. I'd prefer a real version of Pimps At Sea to another Halo game.

Thanks for all the different suggestions. I had a feeling I wasn't approaching it the right way. Setting it up on the router was a piece of cake, and I'm sure I'll find more uses for it in the future.

I have a Macbook Pro (running Leopard) which I am constantly taking back and forth between college and my house. In my house I need to have a static IP (for port forwarding), but at my school I need to switch to DHCP to connect to their network. It's getting to be quite a nuisance constantly changing my network settings and I was wondering if there was any way I could write an automator script for this (which I would trigger in iCal for the times when I am at school and home).

I'm rather hopeful for it, but reading a budget like that on an untried idea just reminds me of Shenmue. Granted, Shenmue rocked, but it was a colossal bank buster.
