I'd like to /agree with the first comment here...I find this sort of thing interesting, but the front page gives me NOTHING! I can't even read about the service, I can't create an account, I can'd do anything to even explore what it's about.

Thanks for providing insight to an application that appears impossible for me to look into more : /

We used this in a few classes in IST at PSU about a year ago. It worked ok, but unless you have a decent rig to run it on, it can be frustrating. We've been talking with folks at SL and There for a while to try and get something like a 'virtual learning world' established, but no luck yet. We have some interesting ideas and applications these worlds could be used for in EDU...
