Nov 12th 2011 1:22PM (Joystiq)Costume Quest is out on PC tonight -- go play it right now
Oct 15th 2011 9:18AM (Joystiq)Users report 3DS crashes, loose hinges
Mar 29th 2011 1:26PM (Joystiq)This is the exact way the hinges were designed on the DSi XL. They made them to be lose when they are open to prevent the problems they had with the hinges cracking on the DS Lite. That's what the Nintendo call center employee told me on the phone.

Apr 26th 2010 4:14PM (ParentDish)Christmas sees first VC price increase
Dec 25th 2006 4:00PM (Joystiq)THIS IS A GOOD DEAL... we are essentially getting 2 game cards worth of information for 400 points less than two downloads would cost.
Everyone needs to get over themselves. You don't like the "high prices"? Don't buy them. Continue to play your illegally downloaded ROMS. Meanwhile, I will continue to support the companies who are putting games up for the VC so that they continue to put up good content for me to play. Not to mention that buying them on the VC is a hell of a lot cheaper than going out and buying each of these systems AND the games.

Critiquing Nintendo's Wii launch details
Sep 14th 2006 2:40PM (Joystiq)Think about it, the PS3 will be sold out EVERYWHERE on the first day. So when people go in looking for that PS3 that no one will have in stock, they see the demo unit for the Wii. They go over and try it out. Then they see that it's $250 and comes with a free game. They buy one of those cause it's so much fun.
There you go, piggybacking on the fact that the PS3 will sell out to help push systems.
Wii Sports to include tennis, baseball, golf, bowling, and boxing
Sep 14th 2006 1:50PM (Joystiq)Wired had the opportunity to sit down after with Nintendo Vice-President of Marketing & Corporate Affairs—not to mention affable conference host—Perrin Kaplan to ask a few questions that weren't addressed in the press conference.
• Will the Wii be region-free? Yes. Like the Nintendo DS, the Wii will be able to play games from other regions, such as Japan, without any restriction. Kaplan implied there might be a region lock that publishers would be able to flip on, but it doesn't sound like the first-party titles from Nintendo will be restricted.

Sep 14th 2006 1:38PM (Joystiq)And again, the Gamecube launched at $200. So, since this is a "supercharged Gamecube", charging $50 more isn't really a bad thing.
