BioWare documents the beginning of your SWTOR saga

Dec 20th 2011 10:14AM (Massively)
I'm interested, but will delay by a week or so until the Xmas nightmare is over; anything with something else than stupid elves and wizards is welcome nowadays, bonus brownie points when it's from Bioware.

World of Warcraft strikes the Hour of Twilight

@(Unverified) I am too, but realistically my characters are too far behind gear-wise to just hop in the new raid (haven't played since January) - I suppose the new 5-mans are accessible to them tho.

World of Warcraft strikes the Hour of Twilight

@Shirvington Well, just like the tougher heroics, you're bound to get coupled with players who like to be carried through, I don't expect the raid finder to be much different - so, if you're lucky, about 1 out of 4 or 5 groups will work for a while.

The Queue: Let's guess the Mists of Pandaria release date

Oct 25th 2011 11:39AM (WoW)
Agreed.

A couple of things:
- Blizz indirectly comfirmed Cataclysm was a small-scale disaster, they will want players to forget about it ASAP;
- SWTOR comes out at the end of the year; if they can't match that date, they will want to launch as soon as they can in early 2012 to catch up because it will hurt WoW;
- It looks advanced enough, but then again we didn't see everything and there's likely a whole lot left to do and test;
- New talent builds aren't as extensive as the Great Big Change that Cataclysm put forth, it's refinement rather than starting over;
- If patch 4.3 comes out before the end of the year (as it's supposed to, prolly to dether SWTOR), that gives them more or less 5-6 months before they either need to release additional Cata-centric content or the new expansion, so Q2 2012 looks like the likely target.

Breakfast Topic: What do you expect from this year's BlizzCon?

Oct 21st 2011 9:24AM (WoW)
It would be worth going if Tom Chilton would get rolled in tar and feathers, the rest wouldn't matter.

On a more serious note, I expect launch dates for D3 and SC2's episode 2 (both prolly sometime in 2012), possibly an announce for the next WoW expansion because everybody wants to forget the cluster flick that Cataclysm has been.

WRUP: Let's class this place back up edition

I resubbed to WoW last night on a whim after 8 or so months of not playing; someone please come here and shoot me.

Preview RIFT's Chronicles of Telara solo instance content on the PTS

Sep 1st 2011 4:39PM (Massively)
Nice, this may get me to resub this Fall or whenever it comes out; I don't particularly care if they're just scaled down versions of existing dungeons, this will be perfect for me to get some game play going without sacrificing 2-3 hours per sitting (I'd love to, but I just can't).

Breakfast Topic: Is transmogrification bringing you back?

Aug 27th 2011 9:21AM (WoW)
No.

I like the idea, I think it's fun, but that's not enough to bring me back; I have no interest in subbing just to play dress-up.

Biggest EVE Online scam ever recorded nets over a trillion ISK

Aug 13th 2011 5:37PM (Massively)
@ShivanSwordsman

Depends how you look at it, some could say the freedom to devise such scams is an integral part of the game.

Ruthless? Yes, very much so. Only for scumbags? Not quite, at least not in my opinion, outwitting potential scammers and pirates can be a lot of fun.

Titles Tell Stories: How "Mists of Pandaria" breaks the mold

Aug 9th 2011 10:43AM (WoW)
Why would they trademark a patch name tho? Honest question here.

Since we're speculating for the fun of it, I feel it's a B-side product related to WarCraft but not integrated into WoW; mobile or Facebook game?
