Doublesix chalks higher Burn Zombie Burn sales up to Firmware 3.00

Sep 15th 2009 8:41AM (Joystiq)
The yellow ticker information thing before firmware 3 was easy to remove. Now when I start it up it automatically has the clock, a rolling information ticker (which I find extremely annoying) and friends online icons.

It's the white outline screaming "look at me!!" with the rolling text which is just too rich for my blood.

Doublesix chalks higher Burn Zombie Burn sales up to Firmware 3.00

All I want to know is, how to turn off the clock in the upper right hand corner. That's my only gripe with the new 3.0 firmware.

Wolverine devs: Every other game is 'some pansy'

Apr 10th 2009 7:54AM (Joystiq)
Can't help but feel this will be a mediocre game. Why? Because it seems to follow the movie script verbatim.

Yeah they were "busy" with wolverine before the movie project was a go but seeing all these similarities ....

Let's just say I'm definitely interested but will wait for the review

I like the "deleted scenes" angle, it even looks like a dvd movie menu a bit so it does make some sense.

There are actually already two dlc's, as stated above only 100 points and add 1 extra level. Very enjoyable game although I wish the camera angle was better in some instances.

- Steel Case
- Mini Strategy Guide
- Exclusive DLC, preferably additional skins/outfits but at least a ps3 theme

What am I missing Macrovision?

Jun 16th 2005 5:50AM (Blog Maverick)
Precisely, macrovision is a copy-protection built-in the dvd players, for which the dvd player manufacturers pay royalties regardless. To the best of my knowledge it's an always-on protection, to prevent using the dvd player to make copies. This could be the vhs, but also another living room dvd recorder or tivo I guess. This type of protection could be turned off manually by changing a chip, but now there's a software solution as well for which macrovision wants to sue. Copied dvd's found in p2p or usenet are either from dvd's without protection (most opera dvd's for instance) or from decrypted dvd's (look for "dvd decrypter" , "dvd digest"). So if you want to copy your own bought dvd, as a dvd, to your hdd, you need to decrypt it first.
