Gaming to Go: Puzzle Quest: Challenge of the Warlords

there was no cheating AI. the player is just as much a beneficiary of random falling automatic gems as the computer. i don't see the player complaining when they get lucky on an off-screen gem falling down and scoring them a 4x row.

invite your neighbours over, fence them in with furniture, and starve them to death.

Times: iPhone could be in 'same league' as DS, PSP

Aug 5th 2008 11:53AM (Joystiq)
There's a slew more I just realized. Ouendan/EliteBeatAgents, Professor Layton, Big Brain / Brain Age, Cooking Mama, Sudoku ad nauseum, Light Gun ports (Point Blank, House of the Dead 2) .. somebody at Apple, hire me already. :D

Times: iPhone could be in 'same league' as DS, PSP

as much as i disagree with the iPhone being in the 'same league' as the DS and PSP, i can also see quite a few potential games that could be ported over from the DS.
Phoenix Wright/Apollo Justice, Trauma Center, Puzzle Quest, Clubhouse Games, Touchmaster, Zuma/Magnetica/ActionLoop, and oodles of turn-based RPGs/SRPGs. I'm sure even Soul Bubble could be interface-tweaked to use 4 large thumb-sized buttons instead of the d-pad.

My Screenshot Coaches

Jul 28th 2008 2:23PM (Joystiq Nintendo)
1) this is mandarin, based on the "ni hao" i'm reading in the english phonetics.
2) the screenshots indicate simplied chinese writing, rather than traditional chinese writing. not that this matters, but i was looking for this to clean up the decrepit state of my chinese. taiwan and hong kong use traditional chinese, while china uses simplified.

The VC Advantage: The men who would be Kings

Jul 24th 2008 1:14PM (Joystiq Nintendo)
Lucky had ridiculous range on his low strong kicks in KOF98, and Heavy D! had a pretty solid moveset along w/ a double-hitting jumping strong punch.
the football player .. he not so good.

DS Fanboy hands-on with Elebits: The Adventures of Kai and Zero

Jul 17th 2008 12:57PM (Joystiq Nintendo)
it sounds like the reckless furniture-tossing of the first elebits won't be making the transition to the DS .. ? :(
