I think recessions, in a capitalist economy, are bound to happen due to pressure for record profits. So its pretty much part of life. Luckily, those record profits will help us get out.

Or you can not buy it if its not worth it to you. There is nothing inherently wrong with the app store. If a developer would like to charge for their app its their right to do so, and its your right not to buy it if it isn't worth it.

If you don't like personal opinions and perspectives in your news, you should probably find a better outlet then reading blogs. Blogs will, by definition, have personal spins to it. And an apple blog that covers iPhone apps that also has iPhone developers is bound to have perspectives about their experience.

I was just wanting this to take notes for school! I'd love to use this. I want to be able to keep my notes electronically organized but there is also just something about paper that can't be replaced.

You use the app when you have Wifi connection. If you are getting directions the application caches the maps of turns so that if you leave a Wifi connection you can still use the directions.

They could be phasing out firewire because they do not plan to compete with USB 3.0
