What surprises? Dark Phoenix and top ranked Fei Long destroyed AS EXPECTED by everyone when the reviews for both AE and MvC3 come out.

People don't like using credit cards online.

They probably have to negotiate game by game basis with the publishers or they just want to do this with new games.

Actually, it tells me Japanese companies have a horrid economy right now. The yen is absolutely destroying overseas business.

Honestly I never, NEVER seen so many people cranky and impatient at hardware launch before until the 3DS.

PS2, Xbox 360, PS3, ESPECIALLY DS, all had launch hardware droughts but gamers weathered through them fine.

Although the price WAS steep, I think it was games situation that really lead to this.

I never seen so many people this impatient before. Were all gamers this cranky for previous console launches on ANY other system?

This is more troublesome than anything. Basically, they're saying you're right it's not worth the $250. It also cheapens the whole 3DS name overall.

On that note we also found out the final name for the next Mario game:

"Super Mario 3D Land" a play on both Super Mario 3 and Super Mario Land!
