I think you got it right with The Omen. Jerry Goldsmith at his almost finest (Chinatown is still tops).

And anyone who names a Marco Beltrami score gets a slap in the face.

The site is completely down now, which certainly could lend some credence to its authenticity. Or it could just be whoever put it up messing with people who are still playing along.

I think I'll stick to my picks on this one. No way Amy Adams wins for that insipid performance in Doubt. I just can't see it!

That particular trifecta of best picture, editing and screenplay has actually only happened three times in the past ten years: Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King, Crash and the Departed.

Foreign film does seem flat out wrong, though. I can't imagine Waltz With Bashir NOT winning it, but then again I can't think of another documentary that's won this particular category, so who knows.

The only thing I can think of with the original score category is that James Newton Howard is getting awarded in a lifetime achievement kinda way. He's been nominated 6 times prior without a win. He did also co-score The Dark Knight (which won the Grammy in a similar category), which can't hurt him too badly. Still, I can't help thinking that Milk is where this category is going.
