Ouch! There goes the "perfect storm" of gaming this holiday. This is a real let-down for me. I'm tired of game companies nailing down release dates, then backing out.

Seriously, don't say your game is coming out on x date, or month y, not even quarter z. Game development is too unpredictable, all you end up with is disappointment in your fans.

To add insult to injury, RockStar is the one development team that would stick to their guns on release dates. ARG!!!

Is it just me or has the Splinter Cell series seen a backlash? I remember the first two SC games where very well received, but now it looks like they're getting close to becoming the next Tomb Raider?

I wouldn't say hate, but I agree. I use a Mac, (not sure if there's a relation) and I've never been able to download video from gamevideos.com.

The 1up, and GameVideos crew have some of the best insight on the net. I really think these guys have their finger on the pulse of gamers. But the site is lacking. I even like the graphic design of the site too!

If one wants a review with no context, then a review is irrelevant. If you say, the graphics are good... compared to what?

Context is the foundation of a review. And I'll interject my own context: Shadowrun is the best Counterstrike game since... Counterstrike, except it doesn't come with Half Life

I hope Neil Blomkamp ends up directing the Halo movie. His short films have given me enough faith to trust him with the Master Chef.

Plus, there's that added underdog merit that comes with an unknown doing a HUGE blockbuster. Imagine if Star Wars had cast nothing but AAA actors for the first three movies. Could you picture Dennis Hopper as Han Solo? Me either.

I remember in the Halo Wars trailer a smaller, more agile human aircraft. Confirmed.
