How am I celebrating Rocktober? The same way I do every month, sweating & headbanging my a$$ off! Rocktober is ALWAYS special in a metalhead's life. I bleed Heavy Metal & Hard Rock! I'm going to continue playing GH Metallica during the days so I can finally kick my friends a$$ when we hang out. (So I NEED Rock Band so I can play Iron Maiden and AC/DC which GH doesn't have..grrr)
Then at nights, puting on my old school Metallica Denim jacket, letting my pony tail out so I can really headbang and have my hair whip the people standing all around me as I am going too, 2 rock concerts and 4 Heavy Metal concerts!
- In 3 days Im going to the Filmore in NYC to see Dragonforce on Oct. 6th
- 3 days later I'm going BACK to the Filmore to see a band called "Clutch" on Oct. 10th.
- 6 days after that, were trekkin' to NJ to see Type O Negative on Oct.16th, and when that's over, were driving to Atlantic City to gamble it up!!
- 6 days later I'm seeing Type O again on Oct 22 at the Nokia Theater in NYC (Birthday present from my GF friend..(she ROCKS)
- On Oct. 24th, a friend and I(w/ him finally driving) are going to be seeing 1 of my favorite bands ever in Queensryche, w/ Lita Ford on Oct. 24th in N. Jersey...
- Oct 25th, going to Queensryche once again, but here on Long Island, this time bringing my GF!
- Oct. 30th getting dragged back to Manhattan to see a 2 bands my GF loves at a show called, "Metalocalypse" featuring some bands named: Dethklok & Mastodon (with a title named Metalocalypse it has potential)...
and in November seeing Metallica 2 more times at MSG on Nove 15th and 16th

My Favorite Rock and Roll Moment? Well, luckily I have had a few, but there is 1, that stick out and are forever imprinted on my brain and what I believe is a absolute CLASSIC! Now I MUST explain a few things so you can understand what and how things went down.
One of my friends new the owners of a Hard Rock/Metal Club and got them to go bowling 1 Sunday night at the Bowling center I worked at. I became friends with them, and I got a job working on Friday and Saturday nights mainly learning to set up and do the light shows. I did this from the ages of 18-21. Soon, every Sunday night, we had the owners come down, along with a mutual friend who was a record producer and mixer.(This guy Mixed and helped produce, Metallica's ...And Justice For All.. AND Guns and Roses' Appetite for Destruction..talk about having a GOOD YEAR lol)
One Sunday night I said it would be awesome if we had some bands come in, and my friend Steve, promised us that he would being down some "people" down next Sunday night. The following Sunday came, and at 10:45pm, I see Steve walk in, and my mouth just drops! He is walking in with Joey Belladonna, lead singer of Anthrax, and the lead singer of Tesla, Jeff Keith! I get introduced to them both and they start bowling(not well mind you, lol) I called 2 friends to come up and they were in awe, not believing they were actually HERE.
As the night went on, I would get asked by some people open bowling "is that so an so..etc..I would say yes, and to please don't hassle em, and they didn't. Well that there was thee BEST thing because Steve and friends really appreciated how we handled everything because they are used to getting hounded. It went SO well, they said they would be back, and Steve said since it went so well, he would try an bring others down next week, just promise to keep it low key. Which I tell him, of course. (YEAH RIGHT LOL).
Well, the next thing you know, the following 8 weeks became "Thrash Metal" Bowling Night every Sunday night! It got so popular, we even got announced on WBAB radio station, during a certain show called, Finger's Metal Shop" that ran from 11pm-1am Sunday night. Soon we had girls up the ying yang, lots of people open bowling, and every week someone new was coming in. Jeff an Joey came back, the other members of Tesla came down, AXL FRIGGAN ROSE came down(um A-HOLE), members of some of Long Island's best bands, including members of Zebra, Blue Oyster Cult, JetBoy, SPIN DOCTORS, and more.
Now 1 Friday night at the club, we had a band come in called Green Jello. (If your not familiar with them, go to Wikipedia) After their show, I bring them 2 cases of beer onto the Tour Bus! I meet the band, watch them hit bowls and bongs, doing shots etc., and I start talking to one of the girls in the band. One of the owners come on the bus and thanks them for a great night etc. 1 of the members says they're leaving NY Monday night cause they got some things to do. I hear this and just blurt out, "Well, If your not busy Sunday night, you guys should come down to the place I worked to hang out and bowl." I thank them again and say I hope to see them Sunday night.
Now Sunday night comes and it just so happens that my Mom was called in to help fix a league problem. 11pm rolls around, here comes Steve, with 4 just smoking sexy women, 1 happens to be Lita Ford..(I had a HUGE crush on here back in the day).. 11:30 hits and I hear a noise coming from around the corner, look over and n comes Green Jello! YES THEY CAME! Oh they came alright, many of them were in full bore COSTUME! The radio is blaring METAL, HOTTIE's all over in bra's,lingerie, skimpy clothes and I'm in heaven! --- Now comes my "most rock n roll" moment!

I'm standing at the desk, off to the side, and I'm talking to one of the members I spoke ton the bus the previous nights. My Mom comes out of the office and I wave here to come over, and I decide to introduce this guy to my Mom. Mom comes near, I lean in a give her a kiss on the cheek hello, and she says, "..and who's this nice young man?" And without a even thinking, without even THOUGHT, I quickly blurt out, "Mom, I would like you to meet Sh!tman, Sh!tman, this is my Mom! Mom's eyes just bug out, she's stunned, shocked and speechless, I realize what I just said, now my eyes bug out, he starts laughing, sticks out his hand and says, "It's nice to meet you Mom, I'm Sh!tman!

4 years ago when i got sent a link to the site from a co worker, and fellow game when he tried to start his own gaming web site, and joystiq was taken LOL

I started reading Joystiq in the begining of 2005. I hear about the site, but never went there. It wasn't because I did not like the site, it was becauseI was going to so many other sites, it honestly never popped in my head. Then I read a article, and the link was to here. When I clicked on it, and as soon as I got here, I liked what I saw, and the layout was sweet because the news was right there in front of my face! And since then I have been coming here everyday, and I have the site programmed into my PC so when it boots up, Joystiq, along with a few other sites, opens up 1st.
I can't believe it has been 5 years or so..christ I'm getting old LOL

Get over the effing Napster thing my God. Do you EVEN know WHY that started??? Do you even know the facts at how that started, or the bands that were suing Napster EVEN BEFORE Metallica got on board???Hmm?
For the CLUELESS, they were asked to make a song for the Mission Impossible 2 movie. While they were working on the song "I Disappear",for that movie, Lars, was driving home when the radio station played it. He was like WTF?? He called the radio station, and they said they got the song from Napster. Lars went back to head quarters, and told the rest of the band that he just heard it on the radio and they said they got it on something called Napster. He called their lawyers.
Now considering you don't even remember what he said, or what it was initially about, he said it then, and has said it every day since. He WANTS people to download their songs, he WANTS people to pass it around to their friends. BUT at least let them finish the song first! THAT'S how the Napster crap started. Some moron stole one of the rough copies from the studio, put it on Napster, and thats how it got on the radio. That whole lawsuit where Lars was shown on TV, with a list that showed all the user's who had downloaded I Disappear downloaded to their PC'S.
It wasn't because he wanted to make money off it, or for being greedy. He was ticked that a song they were working on, was now released before they made the final recording of it. So get off the whole "Oh I still hate them cause of Napster BS." And just remember, that Napster WAS ALREADY BEING SUED be other smaller sigers and bands because they weren't making money on it. Metallica got thrown on the face of it because it was Metallica, and cause it was a high profile movie called Mission Impossible 2.

I live 2 miles from where Rosie grew up. Their was a time when I, I don't want too say liked Rosie, but I thought her "act" was kinda cool. Her talk show was just OK, and (she NEVER said the things she does now when it was her own, the "Rosie O'Donnel show), but she did some cool things, showcased no name bands etc. Now then
Now, she can pretty much drop dead, be off the face of the planet, and no one would miss her, or care, cause she is a EMBARESSMENT for all women!!!! Even worse the Britany. At least Britany is young and stupid and and she is trying at least to grow up per se.
I have never seen anyone, especially a TV personality, behave, act, and say the stupidest, most arrogant s$%^ that spews from her pathetic mouth in my life. You can bet your sweet ass, and can 100% GUARENTEED, if Montel, Dave, Jay leno, Conan, Jimmy Kimmel, Regis, even add in the King of Funny Trash himself-Jerry Springer. If they said exactly,word for word, what she has said, commented on, and done this past year or so, women all over the friggan planet would be calling for their head! They would be demanding they be fired, demand a public appology. They would write, call every company, and advertising company that hocked there products during that show telling them were never buying your product again. She is a complete embarresment to women all over.
She is spewing this crap, and she is a Mother??? Nice way to show your kids on how to treat a fellow co-worker and supposed friend with disdain, and the utter lack of respect.. Bad language, constantly interupts, alwasy rude and could care less about anyone except herself. 1st of all, what the hell has she done to deserve all this fame? She pretty friggan stupid, she's been on 1 or 2 movies, had a 2 episode cameo on TV, had a talk show that failed..hello, all you need to do is talk, and she failed at that. Had her own magazine that failed cause she was stupid, was way too controlling, even though she wasnt even in charge of it. And she lost that lawsuit. She only got that Broadway play "Taboo" cause of her talk show, and that was horrible as they couldn't give tickets away. Whoopdee damn doo, she is gay, adopted some kids, and has a girlfriend and speaks of gay rights. WOW ok...Ok my friends who are lesbian and Bi, they talk, they are activists so to speak. Wheres their talk show? PS: Who the hell is Joy Behar anyway.. just another wannabe, stupid, arrogant wannabe hanger on, that needs to suck up and agree with everything just so she can keep her job.. what a fake, a phony and a crock.
