I want to write a long rant about how much of an overreaction this is to an (apparently arguably) well-done low budget video. Instead I'm just going to say to get over it. It's cool to see there is a possible real world explanation to how Reptile could exist. Get over it. This is as fictional as it gets and it's more interesting than anything else.

Also, this video is an introductory into the reboot of Mortal Kombat video games, not a movie. You can unwind your panties now.

There are so many different teams that work within Square Enix that this could easily be done as a side project. Personally, *I* think they're waiting until the next generation of consoles. These quotes seem to hint at it too. Like "if we can develop it in a year." That is just unrealistic. They can't do a simple remake. There are plenty of bits that they would redo: new materia, sidequests, chocobo farming. Who's to say that they haven't already thrown around all these ideas and aren't just waiting for the technology to catch up?

Basically they want the remake to look as close to Advent Children as possible or else, when technology catches up to that level of animation in real time gameplay, people won't be bitching that they should have waited to do the remake. Honestly I'd rather wait for Playstation4 when the capabilities of what a system can do are beyond that of FFXIII.

Long winded but one more point: They have another MMO coming out. If they set a team to work on that (patches, expansions, etc) and keep people occupied with that for at least a couple years, then why not start up on this remake with another team?

I have never had to work with customer service, whether it be Apple or any other PC tech support, so I digress on those points; however:

Your little rant just proved to me that you don't know crap about computers. Regardless of what they told you, a MOBO isn't going to cost you 700 to replace. Inside of your shitty prefab computer was probably nothing greater than a $70 motherboard, which is probably why it died.

Also, you don't say who "they" are that looked at your laptop for $400. FOUR HUNDRED? Are you mad? Geek Squad is your friend if you don't know how to Google search a problem. For $400 you could have narrowed it down to a couple of different parts and bought replacements, which would have been an upgrade if you've had it for a year and a half.

You shouldn't be able to annoy your girlfriend during sex.

As amazing as the book for this is, I think that that Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy was a lot better on film. The book was a lot funnier and did more in the imagination area, but the story was a lot better in the movie, but it could be because I saw the movie many times before I read the books.

That's what I was wondering, too. Tales of Vesperia comes out Aug. 18th and I for one can't wait.

I did say "little else," not "nothing else." I made sure of that. Metal Gear looks absolutely amazing, I agree, and will hopefully catch my attention enough to warrant a name drop in future forum threads.
