I actually get most of my actual news from Gamasutra and Next Generation. The blogs are a good source of reports when it comes to issues brought up in the micro scale of the industry.
As to the merit of bloggers being labeled as journalists, that is an entirely different argument. The matter at hand is the refusal to admit that reports which do not turn in favor of this console are either:

a) not being transcribed on this site
or
b) being transcribed but proclaiming that it is the cause of the competitor.

No need to get nasty about it.

Absolutely right. It's one thing to favor a certain system over another, but it's also quite idiotic to believe that the one you favor is the best; no questions asked.
Each system is great and carries with it its own faults. Isn't it the job of a journalist to point to both these areas solely without prejudice?
The main problem with many of these "journalists" who report exclusively about the SONY consoles is their lack of empathy for other gamers who may view the news reported and end up segregating a vast majority of their readers. This problem is much more rampant in SONY based websites because:
1) The division of the company they are reporting about (SCE) itself fails to take responsibility for its actions
and
2) Infamous for spreading misinformation about their products

As SONY "journalists" you have decided to report on just one company which is fine, the news of the industry is vast and rapid so we need information hubs like this. However you are reporting news and last time I checked, are not part of the PR.

Being aware of the rep that SONY has in the video games industry, you should report on positives and if any downfalls should arive through the pipeline, placing the blame on the competitors undermines your own reporting credibility and subjectivity.

I'm actually starting to feel bad for SONY.
They remind me of the super popular guy in high school whom you now run into at the grocery store 5 years down the line bagging and pushing carts.

When frankly, nobody cares anymore.

I can't believe that there are people here who want to end a person's job and perhaps career because of an opinion in an EDITORIAL.
