@Raffi256 Since the 360 sales keep increasing, Microsoft is also forecasting that they will sell more consoles worldwide for the entire year than either Wii or PS3.

Personally, I like the microbucks. I always buy MS points at a discount so Earthworm Jim only cost $8.27 for me.

I think paying less for something is more convenient than using real currency. Luckily, PSN does have good sales on their exclusive PSN titles from time to time.

Clearly, they needed to move Portal out so they could show Source Engine 2 (or is technically 3?) which Portal needs to be... wait for it... ported to. (God that was bad. I apologize.)

They will also show this at MS press conference to show off Half Life 3... not Half Life 2 episode three. They will also announce Counter Strike 2. All three games will be bundled together for release in 2011.

MS just debunked the last pricing rumor two weeks ago. Sounds like the same rumor recycled with a different exchange rate.

Third party developers would s--- a brick at that price point. I mean Sony's bundle is supposed to cost $99.00. I would expect MS to least match that price.

MS needs this into as many hands as possible AND be competitive in price with the Wii. $150.00 doesn't do that.

So...They've basically removed a layer of management. The sub-teams (Xbox, Windows Phone) now report directly to Ballmer. This is a bad thing?

I can see Sony try to get that price point. I mean PSN must cost them a pretty penny and it's not like they recoup those costs with hardware profit.

A ton of people put up with subscriptions/monthly fees for everything, just add it to the pile...
$15-50 for internet access
$25-120 for TV
$30 for internet access for your phone
$5-10 for messaging on your phone
$10-17 for XM/Sirrus
$15 for WOW/or another MMO
$8 for Netflix
$15 for Zune pass
$10 for Hulu
$13 for WSJ or other online newspapers/mags
Etc. etc, etc.

What’s another 10.00 a month ? That’s what Sony is thinking.

DICE already mentioned that it would not be free.

They don't plan on it... they get paid for it.

360 = 40 million consoles sold lifetime
PS3 = 34 million consoles sold lifetime
(based on MS and Sony's most recent annual reports)

Total = 74 million "Hardcore" consoles.

Why would any third party publisher ignore the PS3 or 360 at this point? It makes no business sense.

Unless, of course, MS waives the licensing charge or reduces it to help make sure a title is released on the 360.

No doubt they did that for Final Fantasy XIII.
