Wii Warm Up: Virtual dreams

Sep 2nd 2008 11:26AM (Joystiq Nintendo)
A Boy and His Blob (seriously, I really did like that game)
Phantasy Star 1 (the others would be great too, but I have them for other systems)

My first favourite game by Atlus was Bonk's Adventure. (Hudson published it, but Atlus was involved in the development.)

I like the blue knight the best. I mean, look at the menacing look in his eyes!

I love babies because they are amazing to watch grow up.

Ubisoft sued over Yourself!Fitness Wii port that never happened

Aug 15th 2008 8:00AM (Joystiq Nintendo)
Yourself!Fitness is much more high impact than Wii Fit. Overall, even on a last generation console, it was a better game. There are more exercises, more options for workouts (actual workout routines), calorie tracking, etc. If you are looking for a serious fitness program, that is the way to go.

Maya is also a much more personable trainer than the two in Wii Fitness. I was actually surprised that Wii Fitness itself didn't try to learn some lessons from Y!F.

I am very disappointed it Y!Fisn't coming to the Wii. I know that ResponDesign had been hinting at a new game for a while. I am really curious to see how all this shakes out.

Well, there you go. No good for me. My husband's family is mainly from Hong Kong. Thanks for the confirmation.

I wish programs that teach Chinese would be clear if it is Mandarin or Cantonese. This one is Mandarin, I believe. If it was Cantonese, I would definitely pick it up, as that is what the majority of my in-laws speak.

My Baby Girl/Boy video scares us away from parenthood

May 28th 2008 7:00AM (Joystiq Nintendo)
I think the most important thing about babies is missing--the crying. Oh, and the waking up at 2am to change and feed. And did I mention the crying?

Hmmm... maybe if I knew about this last year I could have got it instead of the real thing. :-P My four month old isn't really as fun as this game makes babies seem to be.

Promotional Consideration: Advertising with Power, revisited

My subscription ran out just after the first or second Future issue. I didn't re-subscribe because Future increased the price substantially for Canadian subscriptions. Clearly I made the right decision, as paying more or less content doesn't sound like a good idea to me.

Great review. I've been interested in this title too. Like you, I just recently had a baby boy, and anything that helps me get back into shape (without eating up too much of that precious sleep time) would be welcome.
