Flipper Critters video provides pinball fix

Jun 29th 2006 3:52PM (Joystiq Nintendo)
It kind of reminds me of Mario Pinball in a way. I might pick it up if it doesn't end up being nearly as bad.

Retail boxart for Xbox Live Arcade: Unplugged

Jun 29th 2006 12:01PM (Joystiq)
If you want Xbox Live enough that you keep signing up for silvers over and over again why don't your just buy a subscription. Signing up for so many accounts would be a pain and you would lose all your stats every time you signed up.

Signing up for a silver account was easy for me, I did it on my computer. I don't even have an Xbox 360, but my friend does so I used my silver account at his house.

Those orange boxes remind me of Windows Media Player before version 10.

Mag wars: Nintendo Power vs. the rest

Apr 5th 2006 1:19AM (Joystiq)
One thing that I love about Nintendo Power over many magazines is how positive they are and how alot of their humor isn't sarcastic humor. Everytime I read Nintendo Power I am not only updated but I am also entertained. I find that when I read other magazines I just become informed.

Magazines aren't exactly my resource for news so generally unless the magazine entertains me I generally don't read it.

Maybe it's just my sense of humor, maybe it is more related to NP than any other magazine. Maybe thats why I prefer it. I really don't know...

Getting Up Revolution bound

Apr 3rd 2006 5:33PM (Joystiq Nintendo)
"I can't be the only person that doesn't want this to release on the Revolution, can I?"

I am not to excited that this game is being put on the Revolution either, but Nintendo's past two generations have greatly lacked good third party support. So while this game may not be exciting for many gamers it's still giving Nintendo more support, which is something they desperately need. This will also help get rid of Nintendo's "kiddy" image and show that the Revolution really is for all ages not just the kids.

I am surprised that Apple isn't higher...
I often hear Apple users praising the system. Maybe it's just that fact that not as many people use Macs...

Comment of the month

Mar 30th 2006 8:39AM (Joystiq)
Wow I never thought about it that way. Those are some wise words. I think the game industry also needs to stop depending on sequals so much and start developing original properties more. They have been doing this more and more lately so I just hope it continues. I am not saying they should stop making Final Fantasy, Zelda and Halo, but I think they should spend less time of franchises like these and focus more on giving gamers a new experiance.

A brief note on the Joystiq star system

Feb 16th 2006 5:31PM (Joystiq)
I wonder how many people have tried to write a comment to this article that has something "insightful, funny, analytical" so they too could get a star.
