Definitely a flyer, and most likely martial arts or other melee because I much prefer to get in and get my hands dirty.

"It's going to be the same as it always have been, instead of having to go to 450 in your chosen profession, you will be able to learn the new recipes at 425. Just as it's been in every single other expansion."

Actually, IIRC, you need to be at 300 skill to learn the Outland stuff, so it hasn't been that way in every other expansion.

But likely they'll keep the WotLK model of having it 25 points before.

Ventrilo vs. Mumble

Two ad posts in the last 24-hours (this and the "Vetting for PuGs" post which was an ad for an addon)? That's a little irritating.

On the topic at hand, the lack of audio warnings for people joining/leaving the server, and the fact that the overlay that displays this info for Mumble doesn't want to work for me in OS X, means that I'll stick with TeamSpeak 3 for the moment (our guild has a TS3 and a Mumble server but we use the TS3 server primarily).

The Shattering: Prelude to Cataclysm available for preorder

After just finishing the Arthas novel, I don't think I'll pick this up now that I know Golden has penned it. Perhaps I'm in the minority, but to me Arthas read like a bad Arthas/Jaina romance fanfic with some WarCraft III mission summaries tossed in. It's nothing I couldn't have gotten from reading WoWWiki.

Perhaps George R. R. Martin has me spoiled on what fantasy writing CAN be.

Haven't used it myself, so I don't know how well it works, but this purportedly does it.

I'm looking forward to an engaging Sci-Fi MMO experience that's hopefully less obtuse than EVE Online.

I love the story oriented quests, and the excitement of the scripted story instances. No other MMO I've played has offered anything like it.

Harmonix CEO wants an Amplitude sequel for PS3

Jan 17th 2009 2:36PM (Joystiq)
Guitar Hero was Activision's IP.. That didn't stop them from making Rock Band. I would say if they do make a "sequel" to Amplitude it would be as a new series, one which could be multi-platform. That's what I'm hoping, anyway. As much as I love Guitar Hero and Rock Band, I like Frequency/Amplitude more, but I don't have the money or desire for a PS3.
