OnLive technology demonstrated at Columbia University

@StormEagle

You know, PS3, 360 and Wii were all outdated before going on sale. It's a fact of life. I get the argument that the games are optimized to run in that specific hardware but in PC gaming you can always lower the graphical settings and play the game just fine.

Besides you can do a lot more stuff in PCs than just play games and you can have a great gaming setup for under $700 ($647 to be exact - http://www.maximumpc.com/article/features/how_build_awesome_pc_647) so the cost argument has very little relevance IMO.

IMO, with Steam around it's getting harder and harder to see a point to turn on my PS3 for other reason then playing exclusives or to watch a blu-ray movie.

What for? You might want it but it's useless for me and for most people. I don't need that extra cost, thanks.

Red Bull space, new content hitting Home this week

Jan 7th 2009 6:37PM (Joystiq)
Sure virtual money is a good concept on first sight but what's the point of getting it? Bragging rights?
There's got to be an objective, just like any MMO has one (I suppose). Besides that would contradict with one of Home's points which is make real money from those items you suggest they give for free.

The focus is on the community and social aspect of gaming and it should remain at that. It's undoubtedly a risky idea from Sony mainly because the target audience is people that overall have extremely short attention spans and will probably be bored in no time, never to return.

IMO, Home is only going to succeed if Sony keeps adding games and related content around the environment to give a reason for people to go back.
At least for me I'll boot it once more just to check out this game.

Finally where the hell are Uncharted and Warhawk rooms for Europe, Sony?

"they were every bit as complex as the games that come out now"

your whole post is wrong just by this sentence.

Not commenting about the price, but have you ever grabbed a ps3 controller?
From what I can imagine from my imaginary texting, there's no ergonomic way to put a keyboard below the thumbsticks. The controllers are way different...
