gary larson and team are actually quite harsh on enforcing their copyright, and i've stumbled upon a bunch of takedown notices when looking for a cartoon myself. i don't imagine it's working out for them, but that could explain the difficulty of finding the banana-loving gorilla cartoon (which is very funny, yes).

Allofmp3 was the first online music buying place that I actually liked. There was little hassle ordering, the preview worked without problem, no DRM, tons of formats and a good selection at a good price. I was an emusic subscriber as well, but got fed up with the subscription scheme and the price-hike recently.

Now i buy demo-cds at concerts and just pirate the rest. 1.3 million filesharers in Sweden can't be wrong. (pop 9 mln)

i remember playing fable not long ago and was stoked that i could charm NPCs regardless of sex. Did this cause any larger debate? (wikipedia only lists it as a minor issue)

i know some people want to make this a non-issue, and contrasting it to the hot coffee patch, but seriously - as long as the topic is infected this is an issue. hushing it up wont make it go away. then again, it hurts the brain when thompson or whoever goes off into retardo-mode and starts to generalize from one instance or example and the debate ends up with monkeys flinging poo.

more gays in games, fer crying out loud, with less stereotyping and actual character plots that don't focus on their sexuality. give it another three years and we'll have the same debate about trannies & transgenders.
until then, imho, these issues really have to be vented and stands made. change doesn't happen by itself.
