Fring lets you make calls to non-iPhone users meaning other Fring users on different platform?

Didn't Skype tell Fring to take their support down and Fring complied? Or has something changed since then?

Is it just me or do carriers think upload speed is not as important as download speed?

I mean all the commercials that carriers are advertising show features that rely heavily on uploading files - primarily the photos and/or videos you upload and share. Slow upload speeds make it painful to upload shit using the mobile connection.

They probably want you to get fed up and just go home and use wi-fi to upload and help the network congestion. At least that would be my guess.

Greatest post I've seen at Engadget in a while. And the quickness and timing is excellent.

In terms of easiness to get more access, from easiest to hardest:

jailbreaking, hard spl, rooting

I just quit, reverted back to stock, then applied unrEVOked.

Too bad none of these phones have a kick stand to view from a different angle... :-P

Why wouldn't someone just lock themselves into a contract for 2 years and get a huge screen phone?

If it was a DIY tablet with a 9 or 10" screen, that makes more sense. But at 4.3", you could get an EVO, HD2, or upcoming Droid X - and if you're on AT&T you could just get an iPad (unless it's the money issues you're worrying about).

Sounds cool, but at 4.3" at that resolution (plus it's resistive) kinda sucks.

Sorry, I couldn't take your attempt at being funny after calling me out for saying "y'all" twice. First of all, it is a word defined and recognized by Merriam Webster: http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/y%27all

Secondly, what would it matter if I said "youse guys," "yinz," "y'all," or just "you"? Why don't you make a comment relevant to the comment about the post and not just being a troll? Did you even read what I said in response to Mr. T? And I thought Gizmodo was biased. Boy was I wrong, at least when you compare the two.

I do get my news elsewhere, it's people who read old comments from a day or two ago that rehash everything. I don't even bother looking at the comments past one page unless they're REALLY FUNNY. And lately they haven't been.

Excuse me? I just read some comments you made and clearly you are a fanboy yourself. I own a MacBook, have owned a power pc and performa 450. I was an Apple fan the last TWENTY years. You can't argue that there are features the iPhone lacks but also excels in. You are the biased one and clearly dellusional.
