Microsoft buys indie developer Twisted Pixel

@SilverPR Just a heads up, but there weren't any PS3 versions prior to this. All 5 of Twisted Pixel's games were only on the 360.

Transformers: Fall of Cybertron coming from High Moon, has a transforming dino

@notoriousEIC Judging by the color scheme that's an Autobot dino. Not to mention they're putting it on the cover specifically to make people go "HOLY S*** IT'S GRIMLOCK!"

Also, people seem to forget that Trypticon in the last game turned into a dino...so it's not like there isn't precedence for having those on Cybertron.

Well this explains how they'll justify billing you twice.

Heavy Rain developer estimates $13M loss on second-hand sales

Sep 12th 2011 8:05PM (Joystiq)
As Joystiq pointed out, they blame that entire third million worth of trophies on people buying used. What that doesn't account for:

1) People renting the game.
2) People lending the game to other people.
3) Multiple users on the same machine.

So that's 4 different ways somebody could register a trophy without a "new" sale. Not hard to imagine one in two people doing something like that with a game built entirely around a single-player experience. Especially the rental/borrow category.

This needs WAY more data to be any sort of substantial claim. Right now it looks like a whiny dev stretching for an excuse.

Meanwhile, this should also be another prime example of the uselessness of Project $10. EA just released that across EVERY SINGLE ONE of their Online Pass games last year they "only" brought in $15M. That's one of the biggest developers with some major titles.

And even that BARELY would've helped this ONE GAME break even.

Syndicate reboot (finally) confirmed by EA and Starbreeze, coming 'early 2012' to 360, PS3, and PC [Update: New images!]

What's with all of these video game characters disintegrating on our box covers these days? EA's sports titles, Street Fighter, Red Faction, Just Cause, and now Syndicate...is it just becoming that much harder to maintain structural integrity?

GameStop pulls Deus Ex: Human Revolution PC versions from shelves

Aug 25th 2011 8:04AM (Joystiq)
@(Unverified) Really? You would rather GameStop remove the coupon from a sealed product than exercise their right in an open market to simply not offer a product?

Do you even know what you're talking about?
